The meeting of the Town of Hay River Board was called to order at 7 P.M. by Russ Hitz. The meeting was verified to have been legally posted.
Meeting Agenda was updated to include discussion of COVID 19 pay for Patrolman, and new tires for the truck.
Jeremy read quotes for the purchase of SDX 2 truck tires at approximately $561 per tire, plus mount and balance at Bauer Built in Durand. A preliminary estimate of approximately $400 per tire was given for the take-off tires that Bauer Built will inspect and purchase back from the township. Jeremy is to schedule an appointment for the purchase of 4 new tires-approved by motion of Hahn, seconded by Hoff. Carried 3-0.
Jeremy advised that upon research, it is more cost-effective to purchase a new set of heavier duty tire chains than it is to repair current lighter duty township chains. There is not currently COVID pay for municipalities; it is up to employer/Towsnship to decide if employees will be paid. Jeremy used all remaining earned Comp as that cannot be carried over to a new year. Motion to pay 20 hours was approved by motion of Hahn, seconded by Hitz. Carried 3-0.
Motion to adjourn at 7:45 P.M. by Hahn, seconded Hoff. Carried 3-0.
Dated this 6th day of January 2022.
Samantha Bird, Clerk.
