The meeting of the Town of Hay River Board was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Russ Hitz. The meting was verified to have been legally posted.
The Clerk read the minutes of the September regular meeting. Hahn moved to approve the minutes, seconded Hoff. Carried 3-0
Treasurer’s report was given by Sue. She reported $8,519.85 in checking, $4,263.99 in the money market, $244,577.35 in the tax account, $3,715.99 in the machine fund and $16,923.87 in the solid waste account. There have been 189 dogs licensed. The list has been sent to the County Clerk and it will sent to the DA . Outstanding personal property taxes were paid by Cormican and Brooks will be collected by Dunn County Treasurer’s . Report was approved by motion of Hoff, seconded Hahn. Carried 3-0.
The outstanding solid waste list was provided. A motion to add all outstanding invoices to the tax roll as special charges was made by Hitz, seconded Hahn. Carried 3-0.
The solid waste per household rate will be left at $80 for 2022.
There were no CSM’s. There were no public comments.
Hitz reported that a water issue exists on the Mike Chovan property. There is a fence and pasture. Hitz will verify that Chovan has a permit as they indicated by contacting the DNR.
The stickers have not arrived for the truck yet. The gate and shield have arrived a new hose was needed for the Rhino mower. There was nothing to discuss for buildings. Jeremy made 2 passes for mowing the whole Town.
Road projects:
A lot of patching has been done lately and Hahn complimented the work.
1040th is looking smooth without grading.
Discussed the LRIP application, 2 projects were identified
980th Ave. (380th-330th ) for 1/2 mile
520th Street (1170th-75′ past corner) 1,5 miles
There is other funding with a 90/10 split for projects over $250k that requires engineering. The Board iscussed completing the LRIP application for the 980th Ave. project. The form was signed. Measurements are needed to complete the form. Discussed the County assisting as they did last time. Also need a 2 year road plan.
The Plan Commission survey was shared by Bob Retz. More will be known next month.
Hitz will review the emergency plan.
The Fire District is working on a clean sweep.
The bills were presented for approval and payment. Checks 14407-14421, with 4 EFT’s all were approved by the motion of Hahn, seconded by Hoff. Carried 3-0.
The next regular meeting November 8, 2021 at 6:30 with the budget hearing at 8:00 with a possible reconvene by motion of Hahl, seconded hoff. Carried 3-0.
